i have been slacking slacking slacking with this whole blogging thing.
it probably has something to do with working everyday... it just burns me out. i come home from work and eat dinner and browse etsy and my design blogs, and never really accomplish much of anything, thus the lack of blogging. but even with all the working it has been a great summer so far. Im currently looking forward to this saturday when craig is coming up again to visit!! we are planning on... going to an Empire of the Sun concert with kim and jannick!!! (tickets were a late anniversary present from craig), boutique-ing in the village, Mae's ice cream, a day at the jersey shore, thrifting, and a trip to new hope. then its one more week of working before i leave to go to MD for RA training!! which will take the next two weeks... which then leaves only ONE week until our departure flight to ITALIA!!!! i have a weird way of counting down i know. :)
in other exciting news...i recently went on a shopping trip which resulted in some adorable summer dresses, a pair of nude colored pumps, and a new pair of jeans (normally i hate jeans-so uncomfortable- but i wanted some nice ones for italy). Also new in my life is my nikon d60, adopted from my cousin sarah who is upgrading cameras due to the fact that she is amazing at life and is now photographing weddings and such. i dont think ive ever loved a piece of technology as much as this little camera. its very easy to fall in love with, its small, but takes amazing pictures, and best of all (this may hint to you that im new in photography) it makes adorable little clicking noises every time the shutter opens and closes. Im still learning how to use it, but when i do... prepare yourself for photo overload on this blog. muahahhaa.
on my things still to get before i leave the country for four months list are:
a cute little vintage Polaroid camera
film from the impossible project
a scarf
some oxfords
a casual blazer
a haircut!
i have not yet officially started packing, but mentally i have. i love lists and im constantly making lists of what i want to pack during my down time at work. my suitcase is supposed to be under 50 lbs, so it will be an exciting challenge for me!!
hopefully i will be getting back into the swing of things with blogging.
