at RA training we learned how to put out fires. pretty exciting. craig likes to point out how in the first picture i'm actually missing the fire completely. thanks craig. all fires were put out successfully. in alba they don't have fire extinguishers...

ive recently been on a mission to find some specific rings, uncut diamonds set in gold bands, that someone had posted about a while ago. i can remember the rings very clearly in my mind, but of course have no idea whose blog they were on.  Anyways Jess R. from heartthrobs and villains sent me a few links and i discovered priyanka sodhi on etsy. isn't her work stunning? 

I These rings aren't the ones i was searching for exactly, but they are very beautiful, and im loving her work more every time i look at a new ring.  I especially love the way you can mix and match the rings, and because they are so elegant it doesn't end up looking chunky. i may have to get some of these... or at least put them on my birthday wish list.

RA water-front cook out!!

the boys are playing ninja... which is an awesome game that i recently learned the rules to.  their version is very intense and involves backflips and cartwheels. oh camp st. marys, i will miss you this fall. you and your ninth happiest students in the nation.

to-do lists

yesterday in RA training we learned all about "to-do" lists, which i am, already a pro at. i LOVE to-do lists.

here are some things i've got done since i've been back at school:

-completed my oxford application- officially!!!! (much rejoicing)
-straightened out my RA payroll with Gail Wood
-taken many group training sessions with the other future RA's
-personally met dean Laura Bayless
-chopped down some woods for four hours.

back at SMCM for RA training

Have you heard of the Hogaboom house? neither had i. its located in historic, far far away from campus. okay, a 15 minute walk. but still... far in comparison to the rest of the dorms. its my home for the next two weeks. its good to be back at smcm, if only for a little bit.

sleeping beauty

the whole family came with me to drop me off in MD for school. kim fell asleep on the six hour car ride. i always sit next to her on car trips (i can't deal with sitting next to erika) so i suppose this is a familiar picture to me. i've always found kim looks especially beautiful asleep on the long car trips in the sequoia... which is weird, because long car trips in the sequoia always make me feel greasy and disgusting, and im pretty sure thats how they make me look. so props to kimberley ann.
