These pics are all from Scuola Enogica, one of i think 5? wine schools in Italy. This one being the, or one of the best. Basically its a public school in northern italy, where students can apply to go, for free, to earn a doctorate in wine. The school runs a vineyard, which the students work in, and a wine cellar where the upper classmen actually produce wine. They also learn about the economics of wine as they have their own shop they maintain, where the public can buy their wines. We toured the grounds and then had a wine tasting, which i enjoyed very much. More than Cavolotto i think, which was the other winery we had visited and done a tasting at. It may have been the types of wine we tasted though, as i seem to be rather partial to dry whites. Pinot Noir, Chardonay... even Spumante. Just showing off my wine knowledge. anyways. the school was very nice, and i think i'll have to take a trip back to go and buy some of their white wine. Oh and apparently they don't have classes very often, as all the students came out into the courtyard and stared at us, some even yelled out as we walked by, like we were some kind of exhibit at the zoo they were excited to see.
