camp maryland

we haven't had classes in so long i feel like we are all just living here at camp st. marys.
sleeping, playing in the snow slush, going to the dining hall.
another snow day today. i will finally be caught up on all my work after today hopefully. i really despise those teachers who email you work to do despite the fact you dont have class. LAY OFF TEACHERS. jeez.
in fact we haven't had class in sooo long that ive noticed several of us are actually having issues talking, mixing words together and forgetting where we were going with our sentences. haha.
idk.
here at smcm we dont really even have any snow, it just keeps raining. but the issue is that our teachers are all snowed in. one of craigs teachers actually moved in on campus so that he could teach craigs class even though technically school was cancelled.
thankfully the food has been okay. they just feed us two meals a day now. which isnt bad. we dont really mind, its not like we are really doing anything anyways.

i am very thankful for my bog boots and my intense REI rain coat that i got over christmas break, they have really been saving my life here in the torrential downpours/snow slush.

i hope the weather is better where you all are. i am actually looking forward to spring, which is very unlike me, because im a very "snow" oriented person, but they dont get real snow here, so im just looking forward to windsurfing and flowers and such.

craig signed up for peace corps yesterday, so now we are both enlisted. i am excited to graduate college. we can only get assigned together if we are legally married at least twelve months prior to our assignment. hmmmm... :)
but maybe i won't jump right into peace corps, maybe i'll teach in baltimore first, who knows. i have three years to decide.

right now my main focus is Alba italy, where i am studying abroad next fall.
financially it should be great, the school even covers my airfare.
but academically i have to push to make it work.
for example, there are only certain courses offered in italy, and there are only two courses which work towards my major. SO i have to design my own independant study courses, and get them approved by the administrators before i will get all the credit i need to get, to stay on schedule, while in italy. i am self designing my own photography course with a local professional photographer in italy. it will be fun to take, but not so fun to write. i will hopefully get that out of the way today.

anyways. in honor of alba italy,
CIAO!
